Chisholm Dominates Flag-to-Flag at Hattiesburg Speedway

Hattiesburg, MS (April 10, 2026) — Jim Chisholm put on a clinic Thursday night, leading all 40 laps of the Summit Racing Equipment USMTS A-Main at Hattiesburg Speedway to score an impressive wire-to-wire victory.

Starting from the front row outside, Chisholm wasted no time taking command and never looked back, expertly navigating traffic and maintaining control on the tight Mississippi bullring. The 24c machine was flawless throughout the night, showcasing both speed and consistency against a stacked field.

Hot on his heels all race long was 2026 King of America Champion Tanner Mullens. Mullens worked multiple lines around the track in an effort to track down the leader, but despite several strong runs, he was unable to complete the pass and settled for a hard-earned second-place finish.

Pole sitter and rising star Talan Willis proved he belonged among the sport’s elite, battling with the front-runners throughout the feature before bringing home a solid third-place finish.

Six-time USMTS National Champion Rodney Sanders added another strong performance to his resume with a fourth-place finish, while A.J. Hoff rounded out the top five after an impressive night that included setting fast time honors and capturing the Hodges Farms & Dredging Quick Time Award.

The racing surface at Hattiesburg Speedway delivered an outstanding show for fans, producing multiple racing grooves and allowing drivers to race hard while keeping equipment damage to a minimum—an added bonus for teams early in the 2026 campaign.

The Summit Racing Equipment USMTS presented by RacinDirt.com now shifts its focus to Night #2 of the Spring Challenge at Mitchell’s Motorplex in Perkinston, Mississippi.

Teams will look to carry momentum into another night of high-intensity action as the tour continues its southern swing through the Magnolia State.

Fans can expect another thrilling night of side-by-side racing as the toughest modified drivers in America take on a new challenge.
