Dillard pulls out Modified for USMTS weekend

After Friday’s opener at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) fell victim to Mother Nature, Cade Dillard kicked off his Labor Day weekend with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on Saturday afternoon at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.). In a field of 62 cars, Cade locked his spot into the opening night feature with a second-place finish in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Dillard was an early retiree from the 40-lapper with eight circuits remaining.

On Sunday afternoon at Fayette County Speedway (West Union, Iowa) for the ninth annual War in West Union, Dillard edged his way into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat. Starting in 12th, Cade was an early exit on the 20th lap.
