Summer rain brings pain to USMTS fans at Osky

OSKALOOSA, Iowa --Just when it looked like the record-breaking rainfall was in the rear-view mirror, Mother Nature sprang up to dump on the drivers, teams and fans at the Southern Iowa Speedway and forced the cancellation of Wednesday's 12th Annual USMTS Summer Classic presented by Keyser Manufacturing.

Now just 28 nights of racing remain on the 2019 schedule for the Casey's General Stores USMTS National Championship powered by Summit, beginning with the 9th Annual Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals presented by Swift Springs this Friday and Saturday, July 19-20, at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb.

For the first time in event history, the USMTS will stage a two-part feature race on Friday paying $1,000 to win each 15-lap segment. Saturday's finale which pays $8,000 to the winner and at least $500 to every main event starter.

In addition, our dancing partner for the weekend-the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-will join the USMTS for double heat races Friday and battling for a $53,000 top prize in their final showdown of the weekend on Saturday.

The 'Silver Dollar' will carry even more weight as it is the final event of the season in both the MSD Performance USMTS Mid-American Series and Spike Hardcore Energy USMTS Northern Lights Series.
