Longdale Speedway Welcomes United States Modified Touring Series This Saturday

Inside Line Promotions – LONGDALE, Okla. (April 22, 2019) – One of Longdale Speedway’s marquee events of the season is coming up this Saturday when the track hosts USMTS Under the Stars Night.

The United States Modified Touring Series visits the dirt oval for the only time this season. Regular Longdale Speedway divisions Pure Stocks and IMCA Sport Mods will also be in action.

The USMTS is the fastest growing and most popular open-wheel dirt modifieds touring series in the country. The series races in numerous states from Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana to Wisconsin, Minnesota and South Dakota with many stops in between.

Rodney Sanders, who has won two of three races this season, enters this week leading the national championship standings by 31 points over Terry Phillips. Zack VanderBeek is only one point behind Phillips.

Kip Hughes leads the Longdale Speedway championship standings in the pure stocks division after winning the season opener and Mike Roach is atop the IMCA Sport Mods standings following his season-opening victory.

This Saturday the pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstands open at 5:30 p.m. Racing is slated to start at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Adult general admission tickets are $18 per person and reserved are $22 per person. Seniors and military member general admission pricing is $12 per person and reserved is $15 per person. Children ages 12-years-old and younger get in free.

Longdale Speedway is a semi-banked, 3/8-mile clay oval located in Longdale, Okla. Longdale features a gravel pit area off of the backstretch with a concrete viewing area. The pits also surrounds the track with an electronic scoreboard, television quality lighting, aluminum grandstand seating 2,000 along with a souvenir shop, sno cone hut, concessions and Herb’s Smoke Shack featuring ribs and turkey legs. All of these features making Longdale Speedway the premier dirt track in Northwest Oklahoma.
